The redesign and development of the Morgan County, Illinois government website focused on creating a modern, accessible digital platform that supports transparency, usability, and public trust. The site was designed to serve county residents by providing clear, intuitive access to information, services, and records while meeting the requirements of open government and accessibility standards.
A key priority of the project was ensuring accessibility compliance and readiness for 2026 Open Government statute requirements. The website was built to support inclusive access for all users, incorporating accessibility best practices across structure, navigation, content, and interaction design.
Transparency was central to the experience. The site enables residents to easily review financial records, public documents, and historical county information, reinforcing open government principles. Clear pathways to county departments, services, and points of contact help users quickly find who to reach and how to engage with local government.
